A typical diagnostic setup consists of several components: Comprehensive test software runs on a PC and is
connected with the vehicle via a vehicle interface either by cable or remotely. The setup requires a high level of
expertise to perform error-free diagnostics and to avoid causing damage to the hardware, software or the vehicle
itself. However, this structure is too complex, too cumbersome and ultimately too expensive for frequent vehicle
changes, recurring test or flash operations, or use in remote locations. It therefore makes sense to use a more
compact diagnostic solution in some scenarios, such as for subsequent programming during vehicle delivery or for
diagnostic tests in road trial. Read more: https://www.oemundlieferant.de/publikationen/oem-1-2025/80/
