Among other things, the cooperation includes the joint integration of control software developed by Mercedes-Benz in the production network of the Swabian car manufacturer. More than 3,000 mobile robots from SAFELOG are already in use worldwide in production facilities such as Factory 56 at the Sindelfingen site. The new cooperation agreement will enable the innovative control software to be jointly developed and expanded. As a self-service platform, the Mercedes-Benz proprietary development enables transparent real-time and progress monitoring of robot fleets as well as data-based process monitoring. The use of technology is intended to help detect faults at an early stage and optimize the necessary supply processes in the long term. The extension of the cooperation between the two partners symbolizes an important step towards automated and digital logistics, in which intelligent and networked systems play a central role. The knowledge gained from this should create synergy effects that contribute significantly to the further development of automotive production of the future.
