In April 1908 Ernst Huelsbeck and August Fuerst founded the company Huf Huelsbeck & Fuerst in Velbert, North Rhine-Westphalia. From humble beginnings has developed one of the most important manufacturers of automobile locking systems. Today the Huf Group has over 20 percent of global market share.

Steady growth confirms the company’s high level of competence in the industry. In 2017 we employed about 7.800 people worldwide. The company supplies products developed by Huf to all major automotive manufacturers – currently a total of 65 different brands, such as BMW, VW, Mercedes, Ford, General Motors, Hyundai/Kia, FCA, Porsche, Toyota, Renault, Volvo, LandRover. There are about 500 qualified engineers and software developers in Germany, Romania, India, Korea, in the USA and in China.

Huf Product Range – The Technological Leader

Huf Group technologically leading offers its customers system solutions for opening, starting and closing of vehicles. Their experts develop and produce mechanical and electrical locking systems, driver authorization systems, passive entry systems, vehicle access systems and door handle systems as well as systems for tailgates and rear doors, on a worldwide basis. The product range has been expanded to include tire pressure  monitoring and telematics systems. Mechatronic products are bundled together into networked systems that are integrated as subsystems in the vehicle architecture.

Per year Huf Group produces over 45 million door handles, about 20 million lock sets and more than 12 million ID devices. Customer focus and partnership, working together with OEMs, are essential components of our corporate philosophy. Of course, the quality of the developments and products are comprehensively certified. This also includes the environmental friendliness of products and production at Huf Group.
